Meet the Artist Behind Spellbound Press
I grew up around old machinery. I can still remember the exact scent of the garages that housed motorcycles, tractors, tools, and classic cars. My family has always been fascinated by antiques and the stories that come with the things we choose to keep. One of the qualities I cherish most that I inherited from my grandfather is the belief that you should be resourceful, take care of what you have, and never underestimate the potential of something just because it’s old.
That philosophy found its way into my work through letterpress printing.
When I found my press, I saw something worth saving. It had spent years collecting dust, dirt, and nearly a century’s worth of grease, but underneath all of that was a beautiful piece of machinery that still had plenty of life left in it.
I spent countless hours scraping away old grease and grime and learning how the machine worked. There’s something deeply satisfying about taking the time to understand a machine well enough to care for it properly, and even more satisfying when you pull a beautiful impression from it afterward.

When I was planning my wedding, the stationery I imagined simply didn’t exist. I didn’t want invitations that hundreds of other couples had used before. I wanted something that captured the personality and feeling of the celebration we were creating.
So I designed and printed our invitations myself.
That eventually led me down a much bigger path: learning how to design for print, falling in love with paper and ink, and discovering just how much I enjoy making things that are meant to be kept.
I have a soft spot for old things.

That press is one of my greatest sources of pride. It reminds me that beautiful things don’t always need to be new to be valuable. Sometimes, you just have to look a little closer and see what’s possible.

I’m drawn to things with character. Old presses. Beautiful papers. Unexpected details. Designs that make you stop and look twice.
I think the same is true of weddings.

That’s why every Spellbound suite is a collaboration. We’ll start with a conversation about you. I want to know all about your story, your ideas, your wedding, and the feeling you want to create. From there, I’ll help turn those ideas into stationery that feels intentional, personal, and a little bit magical.
I offer semi-custom invitations for couples who want something distinctive without starting completely from scratch, as well as fully custom suites for those with grand ideas and everything in between. I combine thoughtful design with beautiful materials, traditional printing techniques, and meticulous attention to detail to create pieces that are meant to be more than just an invitation. They’re part of the story.
